Message from the director:
The Martinsville High School Band has maintained a tradition of excellence for over 70 years. The band program consistently involves over 20% of the school population. In recent years the band program has received superior ratings in Concert and Jazz festivals in Walt Disney World , Atlanta (2002), Virginia Beach and Pigeon Forge. The Bulldog Marching Band and Jazz Band has performed the Star Spangled Banner on Televised National Broadcasts for FOX, FS1, NBC and ESPN Martinsville High School also received the Grammy Museum Foundation GRAMMY Signature School Community Award in 2017 for outstanding efforts in high school music education.
