Message from the director:
Music teaches many things: How to be responsible for your self; knowing your part, knowing how to function as an individual band member, knowing when to show up, and knowing how to be prepared. How to be responsible to the group; knowing your section, being responsible to your band, being a part of something larger than yourself. Music teaches an appreciate for the effort that goes into music; Imagine, every great musician you hear or see online or on TV or in a performance has a skill set similar to yours: They practice until they get it correct, they understand how to create. They understand a timeline, they know when to be prepared, and they know how to perform. But most of all, Band teaches you ART.
