What is Band?

Welcome to West Cary Middle School! West Cary offers Beginning Band, Intermediate and Advanced Band with the Intermediate and Advanced Classes forming our Concert Band. In Beginning Band students may choose from flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, trombone and percussion and no prior experience is required. There are a variety of opportunities to perform for all groups. We also offer Jazz Band as an extra curricular opportunity to Concert Band members.

Students who participate in music have the lowest levels of current and lifelong use of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs among any group in our society.
