What is Band?

Message from the director:

Thanks for your interest in the Castle View Band Program. It's never too late to start playing an instrument. If you are attending or plan to attend Castle View High School, the band program can help you get started on an instrument and provide opportunities to make great music with a bunch of talented and dedicated students. As a beginning player, our Percussion Techniques class is a great way to start learning how to read music and play percussion instruments. Motivated students can still enter the program in our Symphonic Band / Marching Band as well. We've had really good success with inexperienced players joining since our marching band summer rehearsals help to get a good start. Don't wait! Contact Mr. Cellar for more information today!

Students who participate in music have the lowest levels of current and lifelong use of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs among any group in our society.

H. Con. Res 266 United States Senate, June 2000
