What is Band?

Message from the director:

Parents and students, I'd like to personally invite you to join the St. Francis of Assisi Band Program! We are accepting new band members from grades 4 thru 8. It's never too late to learn to play an instrument! Studying music, and especially making music with others, can have a profound impact on a student's academic success and social well being. They learn an amazing art form, develop life skills, and have fun doing it! The videos on this page can help a student choose an instrument, but ultimately, it should be their choice! PLEASE NOTE - The instruments being taught to Beginners are: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion. (Other band instruments may be an option under certain conditions; email jroskos@stfas.org for more info) Best wishes! - Mr. Roskos
